Landman Season 2 BTS Photos Reveal Better Look At Ali Larter’s Return As Filming Continues

Landman

star Ali Larter shares new behind-the-scenes photos from the set as season 2 filming continues. Created by Yellowstone mastermind Taylor Sheridan, the hit Paramount+ show premiered last November, introducing Billy Bob Thornton as Tommy Norris, a crisis management executive at M-Tex, a Texas oil company. Season 1 was a hit with audiences and critics alike, leading to confirmation that Landman season 2 is on the way, with Larter set to return as Tommy’s ex-wife, Angela Norris, along with a host of other season 1 characters.

In a new post on Instagram, Larter shares a new batch of five new photos from the Landman season 2 set. The first image shows Larter sitting on a jib lift in a colorful dress, while the second shows Thornton donning a suit jacket in a bedroom filled with crew members. The fourth features Larter sitting alongside Michelle Randolph and Thornton, and the following shows Larter posing with Dale actor James Jordan and Cooper actor Jacob Lofland. Finally, at the end of the carousel is a shot of Larter and Randolph together in a car. Check out Larter’s post below:

When The New Episodes Could Arrive

Unfortunately, it’s hard to discern any major story points from the latest batch of images, but it does confirm that work is ongoing to bring the show back quickly following the Landman season 1 finale. The finale aired on January 12, with a season 2 renewal following in March. With filming currently underway, audiences can probably expect Landman season 2 to premiere either in late 2025 or early 2026, though nothing has been announced just yet.

A Supporting Landman Character Is More Important To Season 2 Of Taylor Sheridan’s Show Than You Realize

Landman season 2 needs this character to return, and they are more important than anyone realized in season 1 of Taylor Sheridan’s Texas show.

The speed at which Paramount has gotten Landman season 2 into production speaks to just how big a hit the show was. On Rotten Tomatoes, the series enjoys a respectable 78% score from critics. While the audience-driven Popcornmeter score is lower at only 62%, viewership for the series has been strong. In December, it was announced that Landman had become the most-watched Paramount+ original series of all time, with 14.9 million households watching the show across its first four weeks of availability.

Angela Is A Crucial Supporting Character

While Thornton’s Tommy is really the primary figure in the Landman cast, the larger ensemble is undoubtedly a major reason for the show’s success. Tommy’s storyline is interesting, but it’s often the supporting characters around him that add depth and flavor. Angela is one such figure, with Larter’s character, along with Randolph’s Ainsley, really grounding Tommy while also adding to the drama in his life.

A Landman season 2 set video from earlier this month featured Larter and Randolph filming at TCU in Forth Worth, Texas. This could be a sign that Ainsley and Angela will be visiting potential colleges in season 2.

Though Landman season 1 was a hit, it’s unclear if season 2 will be able to reach these same heights. The user score on Rotten Tomatoes, after all, could be a sign that there will be a viewer drop off. That being said, anything with Sheridan’s name attached to it these days tends to attract quite a crowd, regardless of quality. With filming underway, it hopefully won’t be long before more about Landman season 2 is revealed.
