What This Means For Missing You

Missing You Is Not As Well-Rated As Fool Me Once

Missing You is far from the highest-rated Coben adaptation show. This time last year, Fool Me Once was released to largely positive reviews, scoring a 71% Tomatometer among 17 critics. The series had much worse reviews among audiences, however, who gave the show just a 45% Tomatometer. As more people get the chance to see Missing You, it will be interesting to see if there is another divide between critics and audiences. With Missing You having a lower critics’ score, a divide could be good or bad for the show.

Missing You Could Still Do Well On Streaming

Jessica Plummer in Missing You

If Missing You is anything like Fool Me Once, lackluster reception from either critics, audiences, or both will be far from a harbinger of demise for the series. Fool Me Once was a global sensation upon its New Year’s Day release last year, drawing in millions of viewers. Missing You is using the same holiday release strategy as its predecessor, giving it a good chance to repeat the previous Coben’s film success. As more viewers get the opportunity to watch the show over the next week, it will be interesting to see whether Missing You succeeds or flounders.
