American Horror Story star Jessica Lange has candidly reflected on her potential return to the long-running horror anthology series. She was one of the main cast members for the first four seasons of American Horror Story, playing nosy neighbor Constance Langdon in Murder House, cruel nun Sister Jude Martin in Asylum, Supreme witch Fiona Goode in Coven, and carnival owner Elsa Mars in Freak Show. However, her only appearances since the season 4 finale were cameos in two episodes of season 8, Apocalypse, in 2018, in which she reprised her original role as Constance.

SPIN 1038 caught up with Jessica Lange on the red carpet for the premiere of her new movie Long Day’s Journey Into Night. When asked if she might return for American Horror Story season 13, which is in the works, she bluntly responded, “Oh Christ, no.” She explained that it has been a long time since she has been part of the series, and when pressed about potentially returning for what is supposed to be the final season, she simply responded “no.” Read her full quote and see the original video below:

Oh Christ, no. I mean, I haven’t done it for more than 10 years, 12 years, so, no, I’m not doing it. No [I won’t come back for a final season].

More to come…
