Paradise has been renewed for season 2. The multi-genre series begins with a member of the Secret Service, Xavier Collins (Sterling K. Brown), investigating the death of President Cal Bradford (James Marsden). It soon becomes clear that Paradise‘s murder mystery is only a piece of a political thriller that includes a game-changing science-fiction twist. The show is helmed by This Is Us creator Dan Fogelman with a cast that also includes Julianne Nicholson as the powerful Samantha “Sinatra” Redmond.
As per The Hollywood Reporter, Hulu has now renewed Paradise two weeks before the season 1 finale is released, which is a significant sign of confidence in the series. The three-episode premiere garnered 7 million views in its debut week between Hulu in the U.S. and Disney+ internationally, and has been in Hulu’s Top 15 since the season began. Only six of the eight season 1 episodes have been released so far, with the season 1 finale slated for March 4.
What This Means For Paradise
It Is Another Successful Dan Fogelman Show
Fogelman previously shared that he had a three-season plan for Paradise. With season 2 now confirmed, Fogelman’s three-season plan is now closer to becoming fully realized. In only six episodes, there have already been major revelations about the surface world, what led to the community of Paradise being created, and characters who were presumed dead potentially being alive. The season 2 confirmation ensures that more shocking revelations are on the way and that they can be properly explored as Xavier continues to search for answers.

Paradise Episode 6 Ending Explained: What Really Happened To Xavier’s Wife?
A shocking new revelation about Xavier’s wife is shared at the end Paradise episode 6, with her fate being integral to where the show is headed.
Just as Fogelman’s This Is Us became a hit for NBC, Paradise is already a hit for Hulu. Paradise‘s cast being led by Brown, who also starred in This Is Us, has made the show a reunion for the NBC series, as has the inclusion of actors like Gerald McRaney. A This Is Us reunion was an initial selling point for the show, but the Hulu series has now clearly forged its own identity and created its own appeal, which made season 2 a natural next step to take.
Our Take On Paradise’s Season 2 Renewal
One Of 2025’s Best Shows So Far Will Get To Continue
Paradise is one of the best shows so far in 2025, and it is satisfying to see Hulu recognizing the quality of the new series. Its plot twists, use of multiple genres, and strong performances make it an enticing watch. There is definitely more story to tell, especially now that Xavier’s rebellion against Sinatra is underway. The present-day story has taken place entirely in the underground community, but season 2 could move to the surface, where Xavier and other characters can try to find loved ones who may have survived Paradise‘s cataclysmic event.
