DC Studios debuts the first official Peacemaker season 2 teaser trailer, setting up Christopher Smith’s new chapter in the DC Universe franchise. While it has been more than three years since the ending of Peacemaker season 1, the wait for John Cena’s return to the superhero world is almost over, as his series is set to return this fall. With Peacemaker season 2 also becoming part of the DCU timeline, fans have been waiting to see how the former DCEU series carries into James Gunn’s new franchise.
Recently, on Inside the NBA, a short promo for the Max series debuted, where it was revealed that the full Peacemaker season 2 teaser trailer would be dropping on Friday, May 9. The wait is finally over as DC Studios has officially released the new Peacemaker season 2 trailer, showing Cena’s titular character and his team entering the next chapter. Check it out below:
Peacemaker season 2 is officially set to premiere on Thursday, August 21, more than a month after Gunn’s Superman movie was released in theaters. Gunn has also shared the first Peacemaker season 2 poster, which can be found below:
The Peacemaker season 2 poster features Cena’s DC character fully suited up, as he and his pet eagle, Eagly, are shown forehead to forehead. Similar to season 1, Peacemaker season 2 will consist of eight episodes.
