The shocking season 4 finale of Power Book III: Raising Kanan has set up the final season of the prequel show. Starz’s Raising Kanan took viewers back to the 1990s, building off the world and characters created in the show Powers. Mekai Curtis’ Kanan has delved into the drug business, setting up his character arc in Starz’s Power and the sequel series. The streaming platform picked up the show for a fifth season back in March 2024, which was very necessary after the shocking ending of Raising Kanan season 4.
According to Variety, Power Book III: Raising Kanan season 5 will sadly be the show’s final season. Luckily, Shamiek Moore will officially join the cast as “Breeze,” building off his surprising debut in the final episode of Raising Kanan season 4. Moore is best-known for voicing Miles Morales in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, but he’s also had roles in Dope, Wu-Tang: An American Saga, and Samaritan. His iconic character has had a presence in the Raising Kanan story for quite some time, despite never appearing onscreen. As such, his character arc in the final season should excite fans.

Although the ending of Raising Kanan will undoubtedly disappoint some fans, the decision prevents the creative team from spreading themselves too thin. Currently, Courtney A. On top of that, Power: Origins is in development and requires attention as well.

Our Take On Power Book III Season 5
Power Book III Has Come To A Natural Stopping Poing
Power Book III: Raising Kanan is one of the most interesting shows in the Power universe because it takes the story back to the beginning. Plus, Kanan is a compelling character. That being said, it feels like a reasonable time to end the show.
After giving Breeze a little more time, the story has laid the necessary foundation for Kanan’s story in the rest of the shows, which is what a prequel should do. Hopefully, with the foreknowledge of the show ending, Power Book: Raising Kanan season 5 will continue to have the high quality of the past seasons.
