Taron Egerton Is An Arson Investigator With A Dark Secret Hunting For A Serial Arsonist In New Series

Apple TV+ released a new trailer for its upcoming arson murder mystery series Smoke, starring Taron Egerton. Smoke is based on a true story first told in the podcast Firebug. The first images of Smoke have already teased a dark conspiracy and its June 27 release date. They also highlighted the show’s all-star cast, which includes John Leguizamo, Greg Kinnear, Anna Chlumsky, and more. Smoke already seems to be another example of Apple TV+’s engaging, premiere drama series, and it could easily become one of the best shows on Apple TV+ if it lives up to the hype it has created for itself.

Apple released the first trailer for Smoke. It features Taron Egerton’s character, arson investigator Dave Gudson, bringing a new detective, Michelle Calderone (Jurnee Smollett), on to investigate two serial arsonists who have already taken victims. The trailer sets up a twisting, complicated mystery to solve, and hints at some dark secrets Gudson is hiding. Eventually, Calderone’s investigation puts her suspicion on Gudson, and she even asks his wife, Ashley (Hannah Emily Anderson), if he’s capable of committing a crime. Smoke‘s first trailer promises a twisting, dark story about fire and how “truth lies in the ashes.”

What The First Trailer For Smoke Means For Apple TV+’s Crime Drama

Smoke’s First Trailer Set A Dark & Mysterious Mood For The Crime Thriller

The first trailer for Smoke serves as a great introduction into the tone and feel viewers can expect from Apple TV+’s upcoming crime drama. From dark visuals to depictions of fire and haunting music, it’s clear that Smoke is going to be a tense, shocking series filled with lies, secrets, a thrilling investigation, and plenty of blazes. This really is quite a skillful trailer: it sets up the mystery of the dual arsonists without revealing too much, and it paints a tense situation between Gudsen and Calderone that should be able to draw viewers in and help Smoke succeed.

Our Take On Smoke’s First Trailer

Apple TV+ Seems To Be Using Every Advantage It Has For Smoke

Smoke already had a lot going for it, and this first trailer proves that Apple TV+ is leveraging every advantage it has to make it a success.
