The Agency receives a production update on season 2 and the show’s future. Headlined by Michael Fassbender and joined by Jeffrey Wright, Jodie Turner-Smith, Richard Gere, and many others, the Showtime thriller series that premiered last November sees a covert CIA agent (Fassbender) struggle to abandon his undercover identity as an old flame surfaces. The show was renewed for season 2 in December, which was expected to begin filming in April 2025.

Now, in an interview with Variety, Alex Berger offered an update on The Agency season 2. The producer confirmed that filming is underway in London for the next season of the Fassbender series, having just recently gotten underway. Berger also revealed that the writers are working on scripts for season 3, confirming the show is intended to run beyond season 2, though Showtime has not officially greenlit another season at the time of writing.
