We killed it!’ That, Raghav Juyal tells us, is the gist of the numerous messages director Aryan Khan and he have been exchanging since The Ba***ds of Bollywood dropped on Netflix a fortnight in the past. “We inform one another, ‘Bhai, yeh toh hona hello tha’. I don’t learn about others, however Aryan and I had been assured that the present can be well-received,” says Juyal of Khan’s directorial debut.
The Bobby Deol, Mona Singh, Lakshya, and Sahher Bambba-starrer has many issues going for it — its tongue-in-cheek humour, honest performances by the leads, and star-studded cameos. Juyal’s act as Parvaiz, half problem-fixer and half troublemaker, stands out with its hilarity. But, he reveals that many suggested him in opposition to portraying the function after Kill (2023), which noticed him as a ruthless antagonist. “Everybody requested me, ‘Why are you taking part in the hero’s finest buddy?’ I advised them that I might deal with it. It’s the actor’s job to make the character his personal. I created loads of issues on the spot, [aspects] that weren’t within the script, and Aryan would say, ‘Preserve it coming. It’s good.’ After we sat to make a scene, we’d go in so many instructions that producers must put a cease to it,” he laughs.

The duo’s creativity was most evident within the viral sequence with Emraan Hashmi. Within the scene, Juyal’s Parvaiz, a Hashmi fan, breaks into the Arabic little bit of the star’s fashionable tune, Kaho Na Kaho. The actor, Hashmi’s admirer in actual life, grins, “Humara toh faculty, faculty, sab usne banaya hai. I did that scene with all my coronary heart. In my first take, I cried. Everybody [on the set] began laughing, questioning why I used to be crying whereas singing. However I did that second with loads of emotions. But, I needed to make it look humorous.”
On display, Juyal has a meaty half. However on the script stage, issues had been very totally different. “My function wasn’t sketched out. Different characters had backstories, mine didn’t. So, I used to be slightly sceptical initially. Then Aryan referred to as me and stated, ‘I’ve full religion in you. We’ll form the character on set.’ I listened to him, and right here we’re,” he smiles.
