Wizards Beyond Waverly Place season 2 has received an important update. The Disney Channel legacy sequel series stars David Henrie reprising his original Wizards of Waverly Place role as Justin Russo, who is now the head of his own family and must guide young wizard Billie (Janice LeAnn Brown) in her training. The show broke a record as the most-watched Disney Channel series premiere on Disney+ when it debuted in 2024, and Wizards Beyond Waverly Place season 2 was officially renewed in March, just over a month after the season 1 finale aired.
On the official X account for Disney+, they have shared a new post announcing that Wizards Beyond Waverly Place season 2 is now filming. The post bears the caption “Lights, camera… MAGIC” alongside a selfie taken by David Henrie that features his co-stars Janice LeAnn Brown, Alkaio Thiele (who plays Justin’s son Roman), Max Matenko (who plays Justin’s son Milo), Mimi Gianopulos (who plays Justin’s wife Giada), and Taylor Cora (who plays Roman and Milo’s friend Winter).
