Remo D’souza recently visited the Mahakumbh in Prayagraj and took a dip in the holy waters of Ganga. However, the choreographer-turned-director went to Mahakumbh in disguise, as he covered himself in an all black attire and also was seen hiding his face. He shared photos and videos from his visit and that’s when people got to know that he was there. Remo was accompanied by his wife Lizelle and was seen wearing a ‘rudraksh mala’.
The choreographer visited Prayagraj in disguise amidst rumours of receiving a death threat. Last week, reportedly, many celebs like Kapil Sharma, Rajpal Yadav and Remo got death threats. While Kapil and Rajpal confirmed the news, Remo’s wife Lizelle said in an interview that it’s false. She wrote, “Even we read it in the media. We got spam emails on the company email ID regarding something else, for which we informed the cops. The cyber department is looking into it, and they also feel it’s spam.”
For those not in the know, Remo’s original name was Ramesh Gopi Nair. But he convered to Christianity and called himself Remo D’souza. So, here’s how the internet reacted to his Prayagraj visit. Remo dropped these glimpses and wrote, “#harhargange, #MahaKumbh2025, #MahaKumbhMela2025, #UttarPradeshTourism #Prayagraj #UttarPradeshPolice.”
A user commented on his post and said, “Remo D’Souza is back to Ramesh Gopi Nair again?” Another person said, “This is how secular Bharat looks like.”
Remo was seen wearing a black dhoti as he also took a dip in the holy waters of Ganga. On work front, Remo’s next directorial stars Abhishek Bachchan and Nora Fatehi and is set to release on OTT.
