1923 star Brandon Sklenar is set to lead an upcoming neo-Western movie, The Rescue. Sklenar is best known for his role as Spencer Dutton in the Yellowstone prequel series from the world of Taylor Sheridan. A World War I veteran and a big-game hunter in Africa, Spencer is a fierce protector of his family’s Montana ranch.

According to Deadline, Sklenar is confirmed to star in The Rescue, a modern-day Western film from Old Henry director Potsy Ponciroli. While further plot details remain under wraps, the film is set to follow a rodeo cowboy when his skills are put to the test outside the stadium. The project boasts an impressive production team from Skydance, including David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Don Granger, with Aimee Rivera overseeing the project for the studio.
