Ne Zha 2 has passed another major box office milestone. The animated movie has dominated the global box office since its January 2025 debut in China, including surpassing the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Avengers: Infinity War in worldwide earnings, and passing the $2 billion mark. Ne Zha 2 dethroned Inside Out 2 as well to become the highest-grossing animated movie of all time, less than a year after the Pixar sequel achieved the impressive feat.

The animated sequel is projected to reach $2.1 billion by the end of its theatrical run in China, and its overall gross will further increase with releases in Indonesia, Japan, and several European markets still to come.
