Jensen Ackles’ Batman & Alexandra Daddario’s Wonder Woman Join David Corenswet’s Superman As The DCU’s Hero Trinity In Epic DC Art

Jensen Ackles and Alexandra Daddario become the Batman and Wonder Woman of the new DC Universe in exciting art that makes them part of DC’s new Trinity with David Corenswet’s Superman. So far, only the Man of Steel and the Dark Knight have confirmed projects in the DCU’s Chapter One. That said, while Wonder Woman only has a prequel series, Paradise Lost, announced, both her and the DCU’s Batman are in similar situations, as casting for the heroes is still some time away. That has led to many rumors, with two actors emerging as fan favorites for the roles.

On Instagram, artist @captracc_ imagined the DCU’s Trinity with Jensen Ackles as Batman, Alexandra Daddario as Wonder Woman, and David Corenswet as Superman.

The fan art shows how the duo would look great alongside Corenswet’s Clark Kent in the DCU’s upcoming movies. It presents all three heroes with superhero costumes, as well as their civilian personas. Ackles exudes Bruce Wayne’s darkness and Batman’s confidence in the art, while Daddario’s Wonder Woman looks battle-ready, and her Diana Prince is the perfect cover. Ackles is the fan-favorite for the DCU’s Batman, while Daddario is one of the popular picks for Wonder Woman.

Are Jensen Ackles & Alexandra Daddario Good Fits For The DCU’s Batman And Wonder Woman?

DC Has Already Revealed Details From One Of the Heroes

Ackles and Daddario are popular casting choices for the remaining heroes in the DCU’s Trinity, but they need more than the fans’ approval if they want to play the iconic roles. While DC has yet to reveal any concrete details about its plans for Gal Gadot’s replacement as Wonder Woman, a few key parts of Batman’s story are out there. The main element is that the DCU’s Bruce Wayne is a father, having an established Bat-Family and discovering that he has a biological son, Damian, in The Brave and the Bold.

I’m Glad James Gunn Has Already Explained How DCU’s Superman Movie Is Set To Avoid The Biggest Mistake Of Henry Cavill’s Man Of Steel

Henry Cavill’s Superman made a controversial mistake, and James Gunn’s new DC comments show how David Corenswet’s Clark Kent will avoid repeating it.

Ackles would excel with that setup, especially since he has played Batman before, voicing the hero in multiple movies of DC’s animated Tomorrowverse franchise. However, since Gunn said that Batman could be a few years older than Corenswet’s Superman — the actor is 31 — it seems like Ackles, who is 47, might be older than the studio wants. As for Daddario, she was also part of the Tomorrowverse, though she did not voice Wonder Woman, but Lois Lane. At 39, the actress has a decent shot at playing Diana Prince or auditioning for the role at the very least.

Our Take On Whether Jensen Ackles & Alexandra Daddario Are Good Fits For The DCU’s Batman And Wonder Woman

I would be glad if Ackles and Daddario became the DCU’s Batman and Wonder Woman. The Supernatural actor has revealed that he loves Batman and wants to play him in the DCU, and as a fan of his work as Bruce Wayne in animation, I’m sure Ackles would excel in live-action. I also think an older Batman makes sense, as he will have a whole Bat-Family. As for Daddario as Wonder Woman, projects like the Percy Jackson movies and Mayfair Witches have shown that she can play fierce characters with a compassionate side, making her perfect for the DCU‘s Diana.

The DC Universe is one of the biggest comic book franchises and often competes with Marvel. DC Comics started as National Allied Publications, founded by Malcolm Wheeler-Nicholson in 1935. Since then, the franchise has exploded with thousands of comic books, movies, TV shows, and video games. 2013 marked the beginning of the most recent iteration of the superheroes, with Zack Snyder introducing Henry Cavill as Superman. After several movies with mixed reviews, DC underwent a soft reboot under the helm of James Gunn and Peter Safran.
