M3GAN overrides her controls in an eerie new clip from Blumhouse’s upcoming horror flick. Starring Allison Williams and Violet McGraw, M3GAN tells the story of a roboticist named Gemma (Williams) who becomes the new guardian of Cady (McGraw) after the young girl becomes orphaned. Gemma enlists the help of an AI doll named M3GAN to look after her niece, however, things quickly go awry as the prototype appears to have her own plans. Directed by Gerard Johnstone, the film boasts horror aficionado James Wan as one of its producers.

Less than a month out from M3GAN‘s release, a brand new clip showcases some of the killer doll’s unsettling capabilities. The clip, shared by Rotten Tomatoes, shows Gemma and Cady having dinner before the pair have a mild disagreement about Cady refusing to eat her vegetables. M3GAN calmly defends Cady before things take somewhat of a sinister turn when Cady grows more upset with her aunt. Check out the clip below.

Will M3GAN Be The Standout Horror Of 2023?

M3GAN

M3GAN has enjoyed some rather unexpected fanfare in the lead-up to its debut, which has largely been down to the release of the film’s first trailer back in October. The M3GAN trailer spread like wildfire across social media, thanks to a scene that has since been dubbed iconic as it features M3GAN dancing, prior to making what looks to be a rather grisly kill. The attention that has surrounded M3GAN has already sparked discussions about M3GAN 2, despite the first film not even being released yet.

The team attached to M3GAN also has audiences incredibly excited. Produced by Blumhouse, the expectations surrounding M3GAN are already fairly high, although confirmation that Akela Cooper, the screenwriter behind last year’s Malignant, also wrote the screenplay for M3GAN certainly has audiences even more intrigued. If Cooper and Wan are looking to replicate the chaotic but well-received formula of Malignant, audiences seated for M3GAN could be in for a really bizarre treat. With M3GAN kicking off 2023’s exciting year of horror releases, the film already looks set to become one of the standouts of the year.

This new clip from M3GAN is an interesting tease for the film’s events, as it gives almost nothing away while also hinting at some of M3GAN’s capabilities, which are undoubtedly set to wreak havoc as the film progresses. If M3GAN is willing to create a scene for a disagreement on this level, one can only imagine the kind of chaos that will ensue should Cady face a major threat. With only a short while to go until M3GAN makes her way into theaters, audiences will soon learn just what M3GAN is truly capable of.
