An intense new image from M. Night Shyamalan’s upcoming horror Knock At The Cabin has been revealed featuring Dave Bautista and Rupert Grint. Shyamalan is one of the horror genre’s most well-known names, thanks to projects such as The Sixth Sense and, more recently, The Visit. Steeped in mystery, Shyamalan’s films are known for their unique twists and shocking reveals, which have earned him both critic and audience acclaim throughout his career. Now, the director is set to debut his latest project, Knock At The Cabin.
Total Film (via Games Radar) now shares a brand-new look at Knock At The Cabin that puts two of the film’s stars, Bautista and Grint, front and center. The newly revealed still shows Bautista’s character standing calmly, while Grint’s character has a somewhat menacing look on his face, almost as though he is in the midst of threatening the cabin’s occupiers. Another of the home invaders can also be seen in the background, played by Abby Quinn. While the image is largely reminiscent of what has been teased so far within the Knock At The Cabin trailer, it’s still incredibly exciting nonetheless. Check out the image below:
Everything We Know About Knock At The Cabin
Knock At The Cabin will star Jonathan Groff and Ben Aldridge as Andrew and Eric, a couple who are enjoying a vacation at a cabin ideally situated in the middle of nowhere. The pair share a daughter Wen, played by Kristen Cui, in a story that is based on the novel The Cabin at the End of the World by author Paul G. Tremblay. The trio find themselves in for much more than they bargained for after their cabin is invaded by four strangers who force them to make a decision that will ultimately determine the fate of the world.
Nikki Amuka-Bird joins Quinn, Bautista, and Grint as the four home invaders, with the first trailer for Knock At The Cabin offering very little in the way of context as to how they are involved with preventing the apocalypse. Promotional material has been few and far between, likely to help maintain the intrigue and suspense that surrounds the film’s characters and their big decision. A recent poster for Knock At The Cabin offered an eerie alternate glimpse at the four strangers although, much like this new image, it refused to give away anything further with regard to the film’s plot.
With projects like Shyamalan’s, it’s understandable that promotion is kept so tight so as not to reveal any spoilers or clues about the film’s key twist. As Knock At The Cabin‘s release draws closer, it’s likely that more will be revealed, though it’s almost certain that anything major will not be unveiled to audiences until they make their way into the theater. Just what lies ahead for Andrew, Eric and Wen remains to be seen, as they’re now forced to make the ultimate choice.
