Despite the major changes happening at DC Studios with James Gunn and Peter Safran, a new report claims The Batman 2 is still safe. The Dark Knight made his cinematic return earlier this year when Robert Pattinson donned the cowl as the latest incarnation of Bruce Wayne in The Batman.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, DC Studios is currently evaluating their plans for the DCU, but it won’t affect what is going on with The Batman 2. After being greenlit earlier this year, the trade claims that Reeves’ sequel is safe and not getting touched by Gunn and Safran, who are leading the charge for DC Studios. This is also not going to affect Reeves’ spinoff shows set in The Batman universe, including the upcoming HBO Max drama, The Penguin.
