Spartacus: House of Ashur
gets its first trailer, teasing the return of the hit Starz series. Airing from 2010 to 2013, Spartacus was created by Steven S. DeKnight, chronicling the origins of the titular gladiator. The upcoming spinoff series focuses on Nick E. Tarabay’s Ashur, imagining what would have happened had the character not died on Mount Vesuvius.

Starz now releases the first teaser trailer for Spartacus: House of Ashur, revealing more about what’s to come when the series releases in fall 2025. Check it out below:

Accompanying the trailer is a more detailed description of what the story will actually be about, teasing an interesting “what if” scenario regarding Tarabay’s character:

House of Ashur will be a history-bending, erotic, thrilling, roller-coaster experience that builds on everything that made the original series a colossal hit. The series poses the question: what if Ashur (Nick Tarabay), hadn’t died on Mount Vesuvius at the end of Spartacus: Vengeance? And what if he had been gifted the gladiator school once owned by Batiatus in return for aiding the Romans in killing Spartacus and putting an end to the slave rebellion?

More to come…
