Taylor Sheridan shows have reportedly made a huge amount of money for Paramount+ in terms of subscriber revenue. Subscriber revenue can be difficult to calculate in terms of individual series, as streaming services typically offer access to their full library for a monthly fee. However, viewership data (including the first show watched and how many episodes of which shows are viewed), combined with those subscriber totals, can offer insight into which shows have been the ones to draw the most unique subscribers to various platforms.
Every show that Taylor Sheridan has created or executive produced since 2021 has been a Paramount+ exclusive.
Per TheWrap, Parrot Analytics has now calculated Paramount+’s subscriber revenue for Taylor Sheridan’s shows since the premiere of Mayor of Kingstown in 2021. This data, which only includes shows that are exclusive to the platform as opposed to those that premiered elsewhere and are now streaming on Paramount+, is up-to-date as of the third quarter of 2024 and thus does not include Landman, which premiered in November. Collectively, the shows have reportedly earned $263 million for the streaming service.
Mayor of Kingstown has proven to be the most profitable, earning more than $60 million. In descending order, it is followed by Tulsa King at roughly $50 million, 1883 at more than $40 million, 1923 at almost exactly $40 million, Special Ops: Lioness at just above $30 million, and Lawmen: Bass Reeves at roughly $20 million. At various times over the years, the top three shows have taken different positions in the overall hierarchy, though the bottom three have remained at the same level throughout their runs.
