Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni) and Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) reunite in the first trailer for Law & Order: Organized Crime season 5. The two characters have a long history of working together in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and know each other incredibly well. Hargitay will join Law & Order: Organized Crime‘s cast as a guest star in season 5, episode 2.
Peacock has now released a trailer that shows the reunion between Stabler and Benson. Stabler is told that he needs to go undercover and is more than willing to undertake this task if it can stop innocent people from dying. There are shots of civilians being gunned down in the streets and an explosion from a city building. Stabler later finds himself in a car and is badly injured when hit by another vehicle. This sends him to the hospital, which is where Benson finds him, and softly says, “Elliot.” Check out the trailer below:
What This Means For Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 5
Their Reunion Will Elevate Season 5
Stabler has been the face of Organized Crime since season 1 and is also one of the show’s executive producers. Benson’s story has mostly continued in SVU and Stabler’s story has mostly continued in Organized Crime, but it has been two years since the two beloved characters appeared in a series together. Organized Crime season 5 rectifies this issue by bringing Hargitay in as a guest star in one of the first episodes, and her presence is poised to have a significant impact on Stabler’s undercover mission.
