Paradise season 2 adds a new character who could play a key role in the Hulu show’s future. Reuniting This Is Us creator Dan Fogelman and star Sterling K. Brown, the new series follows Secret Service agent Xavier Collins as he unravels the mystery behind the assassination of the President, taking place in a massive underground bunker beneath Colorado three years after an apocalyptic event. In addition to Brown in the lead role, Paradise‘s cast also includes James Marsden as the President alongside Julianne Nicholson, Sarah Shahi, Nicole Brydon Bloom, and more.

Now, per Deadline, Paradise season 2 has added Thomas Doherty (Tell Me Lies), who is believed to be playing Link, the leader of a biker gang. The character’s storyline is reportedly connected to the mission that Agent Xavier Collins embarks on at the end of the season 1 finale. Doherty is set for a “major recurring role” in season 2 and reportedly has an option to become a series regular if Paradise is renewed for a third season.

While Woodley’s character could be playing an ally to Xavier, Doherty’s character is the leader of a biker gang, so he will more than likely be an antagonist in season 2. Doherty’s bike gang leader could be one of the many threats that exist on the surface.

Paradise season 2 continues Thomas Doherty’s collaboration with Hulu following his guest appearance on High Fidelity and a major recurring role in Tell Me Lies season 2. He’s also known as Harry Hook in The Descendants and as Max Wolfe in the HBO Max reboot of Gossip Girl. Given his knack for playing charismatic yet edgy characters, Doherty seems like a fitting choice to portray a potentially dangerous biker gang leader in Paradise season 2.
