Poker Face Sets Orange Is The New Black Reunion With New Guest Stars

Poker Face will feature an Orange Is the New Black reunion as new guest stars are set to join the Natasha Lyonne-led series. Lyonne previously starred in Netflix’s comedy-drama series as Nicky. In Peacock’s Emmy Award-winning original series, she plays the protagonist, Charlie, who utilizes her extraordinary ability to detect others’ lies while solving strange crimes. Created by two-time Academy Award nominee Rian Johnson and Ram Bergman, the first season of Poker Face was released in 2023. Poker Face season 2 is set to premiere in the spring.

As revealed by Peacock, Poker Face season 2 will see a reunion with two Orange Is the New Black stars joining the cast. Adrienne C. Moore, who played Cindy, and Taylor Schilling, who played Piper, in Netflix’s drama series are set to guest star in Peacock’s original series’ upcoming season. Joining them for guest appearances are Geraldine Viswanathan (Thunderbolts), Rhea Perlman (Cheers, Matilda), and Simon Helberg (The Big Bang Theory).

Poker Face season 1 had a huge cast full of great character actors and movie stars, and while it set a high bar, season 2’s cast can be even better.

In 2023, Lyonne supported Schilling at The Prodigy‘s screening in New York, though they have not been seen onscreen together in another TV show until now. Aside from their time playing Litchfield inmates, they were both in the 2018 movie, Family. Meanwhile, Moore starred in the 2024 movie, Juror #2. With Poker Face following the mystery-of-the-week format and Lyonne being both its lead star and executive producer, more fun guest appearances can be expected in season 2 and beyond.

Poker Face Season 2 Explores New Possibilities

Piper (Taylor Schilling) on the phone in Orange is the New Black

It’s very intriguing how the Orange Is the New Black reunion will come together. Whether Schilling and Moore will be in separate episodes or in one is something that fans will have to find out when the series returns, though it’d be more fun if the three of them found themselves in another prison setting. In Orange Is the New Black, the dynamics between Cindy, Piper, and Nicky aren’t explicitly explored. It seems that Poker Face season 2 might be able to fill the missing space in a strange new way.

So far, Poker Face season 2 hasn’t received a date yet, but with the release window set for this spring, more information could arrive swiftly. Previously, Nora and Lilla Zuckerman have teased exploring some of the ideas that they didn’t get to tackle in season 2, in addition to experimenting with forms. It sounds like Poker Face has twists in store for season 2, and the joining of the star-studded guest stars no doubt makes it more exciting.
